"What does that mean when you say "custom"?"
We create homecoming mums and garters for San Antonio, TX and the surrounding areas. We are taking several yards of ribbon to create braids, the skirt, the crown, loops, everything to create a homecoming memory you will enjoy. We take pride in knowing that we are creating something specific to your order. We want to create something that reflects the person who will be wearing the mum or garter. We take into consideration things like length of the skirt, bling vs non bling, turn it up vs tone it down and the list goes on. With our custom work, we do not duplicate any previous orders. We do that out of respect for all our customers. Also, we do not copy other mum makers based on pure ethics (and because we know a good portion of them). We can take your ideas, braid preferences, flower size, colors and anything else to create a custom design specifically for you! All we ask for is at least two to three weeks in order to create that special memory for you! We have samples of the work we have completed recently throughout our website. What is the story behind the "Bee"?
The bee is an important symbol to our Spirited Mom and we try to put a tiny bee into every mum or garter we create.
The story behind the bee is that aerodynamically, engineers found a long time ago that the bee “cannot” fly because its wings are too weak and its body is too heavy. Fortunately, the bee doesn’t know that and goes right on flying! Spirited Mom believes that if no one tells you it cannot be done, then you can do it! With everything in life, you have to bee-lieve, you can do anything!
Additional folklore, if a bee lands on you, it represents courage, confidence, independence and determination. Across various cultures, the bee symbolizes diligence, sociability, purity, cleanliness, wisdom and creativity.
That is also why our mums and garters have bee themed names. We chose pollinating flowers, trees and bees of course! We want to ensure we create an un-bee-lievable homecoming memory for you!
